Jason Levin (Candidate for President)

Volunteer Feature (400 x 400 px)-2.png

Hello! My name is Jason Levin and I am the proud father of Hayley who is a junior this year (Stacey and I also have a 7th grader and a 2nd grader too). I feel like I am uniquely qualified to be president of the band booster organization because I have seen band programs through many different lenses. I was blessed to be a high school band director for 20 years, I have also served as a district Director of Fine Arts, and I am currently a campus administrator.

I've also had the privilege of being on the Tompkins Band Boosters board the last two years. I'm currently serving as the Executive Vice President and last year I served as the Assistant Treasurer. I've also volunteered in a variety of capacities from chaperoning games, food crew, icing drinks, mulch sales, Jingle Jam, etc.

I have said for many years that the band boosters serve three main objectives: provide volunteers to ensure our kids are safe and the program can run effectively, to raise funds necessary to fill the gap between what the campus/district provides so our kids can be competitive in all areas of the band prog, and to be vocal advocates for music education in our district and across our community. I feel that my collection of experiences allow me to help the booster club grow, support the needs of our directors and students, and help raise money so our children can have the greatest musical experience possible!

In addition to the OTHS Band Booster Board, I also currently serve on the board for Genesis Drum and Bugle Corps, Lonestar Symphonic Band, and Temple Sinai. I have also served as the President of the Westside Shrine Club.

Thank you for your support! Fly Falcons Fly!!

Tracy Reine (Candidate for President)

My name is Tracy Reine, and I am running for Board President.  My husband, Tom, and I have lived in Katy for 15 years (minus 2 years we lived in Singapore, which was a fantastic experience), and we have two daughters: Sophie, who is a Sophomore and plays clarinet, and Julia, a 7th grader at Tays.

My husband and I are originally from Louisiana and attended LSU (Geaux Tigers).  I have a degree in Chemical Engineering and have worked for ExxonMobil Chemical for 24 years.  I have held several managerial positions and currently manage 30 people as a Global Supply Chain Manager.  I am a people-person and really enjoy learning from others, working collaboratively and bringing out the best in my team.

Our first experience with the OTHS Band was in the fall of 2020 after having just moved back from Singapore (during Covid).  Not having any point of reference about marching band I was immediately impressed with the band program: the structure, the rigor, the development and leadership opportunities and the FUN our kids (and families) have.  I'm so thankful my daughter has been part of this program and want to ensure others get this same amazing opportunity now and for years to come.

I believe my managerial experience at EM, my leadership style, my international experience, and my 7 years of being a Girl Scout Troop leader have equipped me to serve as your president.  I truly do enjoy volunteering and look forward to being part of this program and would appreciate your vote.

Jeff Kirtland

Jeff Kirtland, father of junior Maiah (bass drum/battery) and married to Dazie, who helps with Food Crew.

I'm a third year Pit Crew Member and served as Assistant Treasurer this year. My past board involvement has been in United Way, my college alumni association, and served on finance committees for several churches. I'm excited about the future of Tompkins marching band and look forward to next marching season!

John McCulloch

My name is John McCulloch and I am running for assistant treasurer, I have a degree in quantity surveying and my job involves working with detailed cost reports on a daily basis and tracking of project costs compared to a project budget on a daily basis, most of these projects that I work on tend to be mega oil and gas projects typically ranging from $500m to a $1 billion dollars and I feel this could be helpful with this role.

Nicole McCulloch

My name in Nicole McCulloch and I've been on a booster/PTA/PTSA board since 2013 at different schools within the district. Whilst at Woodcreek Junior High I was part of the band booster & my position was VP of Volunteers.

Tara Adams

My name is Tara Adams. I am a wife, mother of three girls -- Abby is a sophomore in the clarinet section and next year Claire will be a freshman French horn (my youngest is first year percussion in junior high), and I am an Aggie (WHOOP!) engineer at a consulting firm.

I have enjoyed volunteering in various aspects of the band over the last two crazy years. It has been a blessing getting to be a part of the band and meeting many of you. I want to serve the OTHS band as it continues to grow and thrive! Looking forward to being a part of this great band program (and a part of the band life that Abby loves so much at OTHS)!
