Hey Falcons! Please see below from Mr. Bond's email for the week of Monday (10/15) through Sunday (10/21)...
Congratulations to the band on a wonderful performance at the BOA Conroe Regional this past weekend. It was definitely our best first contest performance we’ve ever had and that is all due to the hard work of our kids. We hope to see everyone at the contest this weekend at Legacy Stadium at 11:15 am.
Thank you so much to all of our wonderful family members who worked in the mum shop this season! You are all the picture of dedication and we are so grateful for your hard work. The 350+ mums and garters you made looked wonderful and over $18,000 was raised for the band! Thank you!!!

Illuminating the GPA Game
Tompkins High School will be hosting a live Q&A Panel with University Admissions Officers from around the country on Tuesday, October 16th at 6:30 PM in the PAC. The head counselor and orchestra directors have crafted a list of questions designed to shed light on the misconceptions that lead students and parents to believe they must engage themselves in the GPA game. University admissions officers will speak to the idea of holistic admissions as well as what qualities they specifically look for in students beyond just having good grades. The panel includes the Katy ISD area admissions counselors (THE person who reads all applications from Katy ISD) from: Duke, Rice, Northwestern, Boston College, Vanderbilt, and the University of Houston. This event is open to all Katy ISD fine arts students and parents.
Have a great week and enjoy the homecoming dance!
